CITIZENS' COMMITTEES
 

 

The Board of Education has established five citizens' committees pursuant to Board Policy 2260. The policy states that "The Board of Education recognizes that it can beneficially utilize the talents, resources, and interests available among district residents to assist in developing the programs needed for the maintenance of a quality educational program in the schools of the district.  To that end, the Board shall, at its discretion and in accordance with state law and regulation, appoint Citizens' Advisory Committees of representative residents of the district to meet with the Board to provide advice and reaction about important matters before the Board which may have special significance for the community. . ."
