The Board of Education and the administration strongly believe that parents are the backbone of our schools.  Education is a true partnership between school and home.  We encourage all parents to get involved with their children's education, become members of the PTO and attend Board of Education meetings.

The best possible education for every child in the school district, a common goal of home and school, is of prime interest to the district’s four parent-teacher groups. The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of North Side, Willets Road, and Wheatley and Special Education Parent Council (SEPC) believe that this goal can best be achieved through open communication and full cooperation among parents, teachers, and administrators.  Each PTO has scheduled meetings as designated on the district calendar.  You are encouraged to attend.  The activities of the four parent-teacher groups are strengthened by the PTO Coordinating Council which meets throughout the year to support district level PTO concerns.  Last year, the East Williston PTO's collectively donated more than $120,000 to further enhance the education of the students in the East Williston School District.
